This is my quintessential race weapon…the latest edition of the HRS/Rock Lobster team frame. I build these to be fast and hard to kill. My cross geometry has been dialed in over decades of racing and is designed to handle predictably at the edge, so it won’t give you any nasty surprises on the last lap of a race when you’re starting to see double. The Easton 7005 Ultralite tubing has the wall thickness and large diameters to withstand whatever bumps and bashes that happen in a ‘cross race. The team color is seafoam green but you can get whatever color you like. Singlespeed? Disc brake? Tapered head tube? Just ask.

Hey, nobody said a race bike can’t still be steel. The Rock Lobster Team TIG Euro has been ridden to numerous District and National Championships since it’s introduction in 1999, and there are a lot of fast folks out racing on this model still. Lighter and more sleek than the Team TIG SL, the Euro Cross is made for racing and going fast, but it’s also built to last, with the same gussets as the mountain frame. The maximum tire size is 700x34c. Like the Team AL, this model is also available with standard or disc brakes and also as a singlespeed.

This frame is the ‘big tire’ ‘cross frame (These days referred to as “ monster ‘cross”) that preceded the 29er by over ten years and can take up to a 700x45c tire. Race it in the Fall, and then have your weird adventures and trail rides the rest of the year. It’s your party.
